Four Men Lose their Lives on Construction Site

Full Health and Safety Investigation Underway

Last week four men tragically lost their lives in an industrial accident in Claxton where metalwork suddenly collapsed.  The work was being carried out by external contractors for an offshore engineering company at the time.  All four men, two of which were brothers, were all pronounced dead at the scene. Currently a full health and safety investigation is being carried out to see if their deaths were caused by an accident waiting to happen.

Although it is unsure of what the investigation will show, it is still a worrying time for all the people involved who now have to wait and cooperate with the investigation.  The lives lost of the four men serve as a reminder to all construction companies that Health and Safety should be a priority concern.

To help prevent this type of incident from occurring it is far better to make sure that everything is in place for your business so that the men and women in your charge are kept safe and work in suitable conditions.
