The CSCS Card Profile Route was introduced in response to the demand for a route to a CSCS card for competent construction site supervisors and managers, such as those who either hold a CSCS card at the incorrect level, or have alternative qualifications or experience which were not recognised by CSCS including HND and HNC It is not suitable for new supervisors or managers or applicants who are unable to demonstrate sufficient competence and experience should pursue an NVQ or SVQ.route.

This CSCS route is only available for existing Construction Site Managers requiring the (BLACK CARD) and Construction Site Supervisors needing a (GOLD CARD). It requires applicants to complete an ‘Applicant Evidence Sheet’ (AES) to provide an occupational specific profile against an agreed list of competencies which reflect the relevant National Occupational Standard overseen by our appointed, qualified management NVQ assessor reviewer.

All applications are audited by a CSCS approved industry auditor who will review the evidence submitted, and CSCS reserves the right to request further evidence. If the auditor agrees that the CSCS card can be issued, it will be sent within 28 working days. If the auditor determines that there is insufficient evidence of an applicant’s competence, they can refuse the application and recommend that the applicant registers for an appropriate NVQ..
