Veritas Consulting was appointed by The Lanesborough – a luxury 5 star Hotel located in the heart of London’s Knightbridge – to deliver CDM Coordinator services for the refurbishment of the Presidential suite over a 6 month period.

The works consisted of internal finishes designed by French interior designer Alberto Pinto, capturing the gracious style of the 19th Century with a touch of modern technology consisting of top of the range Hi-tech audio equipment, and a sophisticated M& E Installation including luxury bathroom fixtures and fittings.

In the role of CDM Coordinator, Veritas Consulting worked closely with the Client and the Design Team, in order to achieve the Clients high expectations – this exciting project was completed on time and within budget, with minimal disruption to the client’s operational activity.

Müller Professional Services: Blenheim Court

We was approached by Müller Professional Services to provide CDM Coordinator Services for the refurbishment of Blenhium Court and Radcliffe House, prominent Grade A office scheme over 6 floors in the heart of Solihull town centre.

The offices were fully refurbished to a Grade A specification including the spacious reception which included;

• a boardroom available for use by all occupiers
• Four-pipe fan coil comfort cooling system
• Pilkington Sun Cool glazing improving the exterior facades and reducing solar gain
• Raised access floors
• LG7 compliant lighting
• Two new 13 person DDA compliant passenger lifts

Again this project involved working closely with client with minimal disruption to the day to day activties.

Müller Professional Services: Various locations

Veritas Consulting have been appointed as CDM Coordinator by MPS in London on a series of projects in Leeds, London, Manchester and Birmingham which involved replacing the chiller units upon the roof of a range of 8 – 10 storey office buildings due to poor performance and general wear and tear, all of which are surrounded by heavily trafficed highways and similar commercial businesses.

The works consisted of suitably sighting a crane to assist raising the redundent chiller units and associated plant to the ground and replacing the equipment with a high performance low carbon producing system. The client was under pressure from various constraints relating to faulty equipment, performance failure and downtime however, we ensured that the highest possible safeguards and health and safety standards were adhered too from start to finish across their portfolio, which pleased the client.

NHS Primary Care Trust: Health Clinics

Veritas Consulting were appointed to act as the CDM Coordinator and Construction Health and Safety Adsvisers on the refurbishment scheme at the PCT Health Clinic in Solihull which provides a sexual health advice centre and Dentistry for local residents.

The works involved extensive Asbestos Removal works and internal and external refurbishment throughout the building over a period of 6 months whilst certain parts of the building remained in operation by the PCT, the project involved carefull planning and working very closely with client in order to maintain the ongoing care service they provide for the residents – with minimal disruption to the day to day activties, which pleased the client.

Darlow Smithson TV Productions: Building a Roman Villa Channel 4

A British Film production team appointed Veritas Consulting as CDM Coordinator to construct a Roman Villa Urbana – “a Roman town house with high status” – on location of the reknowned 4th largest Roman city in Britain, at Wroxeter in Shropshire.

The design for ‘Villa Urbana’ was inspired by an actual building excavated at this very important Roman site prepared by Professor Dai Morgan Evans, visiting professor in archaeology at the University of Chester.

Building a Roman Villa filmed for late Nov 2011 – the main aim behind constructing the Villa was to demonstrate the challenges the romans faced compared to modern day techniques – this included the use of similar tools and construction methods available during their period. The villa was built using local materials and suppliers and involved the local community and schools during the building process.

National Trust: Hidcote Manor Gloucester

The National Trust appointed Veritas Consulting as CDM Coordinator for the refurbishment works to Hidcote Manor in the Cotswolds which sits in one of England’s greatest gardens made up of exquisite garden rooms, each possessing its own special character.

The Manor House including the garden areas needed extensive refurbishment works which involved upgrading the kitchens and Restaurant, The Garden Tea Room, Tennis court, public toilets amongst other buildings and surrounding garden areas, designs of which originated from historical records by Major Lawrence Johnston.
